Flood depth grids communicate flood water depth for various flood frequency events. The flood depth for a given location is calculated by subtracting the ground elevation value from the water surface elevation; this process is executed for the area within the flood extent for each flood event (e.g. 1% annual chance, 10% annual chance, etc.). For more information, please review the technical and guidance documentation provided by FEMA (www.fema.gov/flood-maps/products-tools). Please contact the San Antonio River Authority’s (SARA) Watershed Engineering Department for more information regarding their FEMA Risk MAP projects.
Published Jan 2025.

",
